Kontak Spool Valve rotary control knob

I wondered what it is for...



I removed the valve assembly to add a third slice. The existing two slices control a FEL, the first is for a single acting ram (lift) and the second is for the double acting ram (curl).

Each slice has a rotary control as well as the lever but I don't know what it does, I was told that it may allow the valve to be switched between double acting and single acting operation but I don't know if that is true or which way to turn the knob for which setting.

There is no power beyond connector and the tractor (MF250) has open centre hydraulics, so I am concerned that the setting of these rotary knobs is important.

In the picture there are extension rods on the lever and rotary knob.

The knobs are flow controls "usually" for closed center systems. About 2 hours ago I converted a closed center Kontak valve to open center. If you are going to run it in a open system, run the flow control fully open. The "slice" is called a work section. I am presuming the section with the spool and flow control? CJ
