KODIAK KUTTER B160 p.t.o drive to Hydraulic

i found a Kodiak Kutter B160 for dirt cheap wanting to take the pto drive line out that runs the mulcher an put in a hydraulic pump around 50 gpm @5,500psi an run my Denis Cimaf 180d on it. Anyone know a Hydraulic Specialists who could tell me wat i need to convert the Kodiak Kutter b160?

Do you have 188 HP to run that pump? With those figures, that is what it will take.

I thought the way to measure hyd. hp was Flow x Pressure x .90 ÷ 1714 so
50 gpm x 5,500psi= 275,000 x.90= 247,500 ÷ 1714 = 144.39hhp

That 188 HP is derived from Surplus Hydraulics tech help section.

Some people use this one.

# Hp to drive hydraulic pump = Psi x GPM / 1714, and that works out to 160.44 HP.

I am not so sure that there is an efficiency HP loss with a direct drive pump.
