Hello everyone,
Well the ol' 35 with the 3 cylinder perkins had a bad injection pump, I replaced it with a new one, fired right up after cranking for a couple seconds, but now there is a distinct knock as if the timing off. My "score lines" on the pump and the housing match up perfectly. My mechanic buddy suggested to rotate the pump one way or the other to smooth it out. Anyone have any experience doing this? If so, which way and how much should I rotate it. Thanks everyone.
