KL-120 loader specs. CK-20

The KL-120 operators manual states the loader has a lift capacity of 770 lbs, and a tipping weight of 991lbs. The Kioti web page states the KL-120 loader has a lift capacity of 1074 lbs. Any thoughts?

The 770lbs. is an unballasted lift rating (nothing on the 3 pt.) the 1074lb capacity is with ballast on the 3 pt.

Sorry John. I should've been more specific. I posted a copy of the spec sheet that my dealer gave me. It has ALL of the loaders specs and the thread is "Kioti FEL - KL 102 Questions" in Kioti Buying/Pricing.

Jon, I'm not conviced they have the rate right yet. I had contacted them about several changes that should be made and I guess the engineers gave those figures, but I don't think I could lift 1074 under any circumstances. I'm not sure how much less the lift would be with forks, but I couldn't lift 810 pounds (two 55 gal. drums of diesel). I had to move one off the pallet and put it on another pallet and lift them separately. I realize forks change the rate, but that much? John

but I don't think I could lift 1074 under any circumstances. 

1074 lbs. is "@ the Pivot pins"(with ballast on the 3 point). Looking at the New Holland specs....they lose 31% moving 19.7" forward, which would be near the front edge of the bucket. Using this formula, your looking in the neighborhood of 741 lbs. near the front edge of your bucket. Now add upto 36" in front of that for your pallet forks....

You'll also need to subtract the weight of the pallet forks and the weight of your toothbar (if applicable).

All things considered, forks, toothbar and approx. 410# for one metal drum of diesel I was lifting about 600 pounds after separating the two drums, and may have been able to go a little more weight, but not much. John

its no differant than picking up a 5 gall bucket of oil at your feet, or setting that same bucket of oil on a table in front of you, at arms length, and try to lift that. Big differance in lifting the same weight..
