We had Whirlpool Gold appliances in our old house with no problems. When we built our new house in 2009 we put them in as well. At that time the Whirlpool factory was being moved and the double oven was not available so the distributor stepped up and gave us a KitchenAid for no additional money. Mine is a double oven with hidden elements and convection with conversion. I use the conversion a lot. Just put in the regular cook time and temp and it converts it to convection for you. The hidden elements make cleaning a breeze, just take out the racks and wipe it out. Whirlpool Corp is the parent to Whirlpool, KitchenAid, MayTag, Amana and others.
