Kioti vs. Bobcat prices

Stopped by the dealer, not very informed sales staff on the CUT's.
They had 1 BH still crated, not sure which machine it went to, I wanted to see if the Sub frame hung low like the kIOTI, or if that is something they changed.
(they come stock with the rear remotes)

It is essentially a CK20S HST, with changes that Bobcat specified which includes a loader from a different manufacturer. There are, I was told, 133 changes based on the Kioti warranty records that the Bobcat people studied.

I think either of the two brands will serve me well. It is only a question of the closer dealer which also has a good reputation in the area.

I'd be interested in reviewing a print out of the '133 changes'. Since both the Kioti and Bobcat version come down the same assembly line, I'm a tad skeptical.

Be careful to compare the loader and backhoe specs from the Bobcat. Not sure who makes them (I vaguely recall a US manufacturer) but they may not have the same lift capacity as the Kioti sourced loader etc. Just to be clear, the older Kioti loader was excellent but had a cracking issue which has been resolved with a redesign. I'd buy the KL120B any day despite being one of the sufferers who lived through the KL120 cracking debacle.

The loader and backhoe are sourced from Rhino (SMC).
I see in the backround of one of the pictures it looks like Bobcat is also carring Rhino's implements.

Although it mounts differently it will still hang low the same exact way.
For furture references you can hang a Rhino backhoe on a Kioti subframe and vise versa.

One thing that surprises me is...Why is Bobcat getting the old style square boom backhoe instead of the new curved boom offered by Rhino.
I wonder if it is a price thing?

And the BobCats come with rear remotes standard.
Are rear remotes standard on Kioti ?

The CK series does not come with rear remotes standard. As I recall it costs about $400 to get a set installed at the time the dealer builds up the tractor. Probably a bit more for a retrofit although some TBNers have done that themselves.

Prices on Kioti's are very dealer dependent and seem to vary all over the map. Some Kioti dealers seem to think they can charge exactly what Kubota does for equivalent HP models while others discount pretty aggressively to get your business away from the big three. I'd suggest you look at other Kioti dealers including those that are active on TBN before you make a decision.
