Is it true that the national sales of Kioti are off like 60 percent. I just went to a yearly farm show and really liked the new hst's

don't believe everything you hear

Wow 60%!! Maybe it's the cracking loader story and the way it's being handled by Kioti not to mention dealers that come and go are scaring people off. 60% sure sounds high though, I wonder how accurate that number is. I bet they sold a lot of LB1914's. That $9995 special for tractor and loader was a great deal on a great tractor. Is that special still going on?

Posting something like that with no reference to the source is hardly worth responding to.

Then why did you? It was not an attack, just a question from someone interested in a Kioti. I would want to know if I heard that as well. Of course it doesn't sound factual, but I would still ask.

The entire industry is down about 20%, we're down only slightly from the prior two years. While this is reconized as a whole, I've yet to hear any of our major lines express much concern for their own sales volumes.

I did not mean to start a problem. I went to a farm show and was really impressed with the new bigger hst kioti's. I thought that the fit finish was better than 2 years ago when I was looking at both orange tractors.
Someone mentioned that the Kioti sales had fallen off drastically and they were afraid that might affect the resale value. I have not looked much at Kioti before because of the fit finish issues that I saw on past year models. This year looked great.

You didn't start a problem and I agree with you, the new Kiotis I looked at last week had an excellent finish and I looked at everything from the 20's to the 55's. If the HST would have been available last spring when I bought my 45 I would have bought it over the shuttle shift. But, I'm happy with what I have.

If a company has a slump in sales it usualy shows up in the stock price. Dae Dong is doing better than some of the other big brands over the past few years. They have doubled the stock price in the last 5 years. For that kind of performance you need to be a well run company. Good products, good service, good distribution, etc.

Why did I what? Hardly respond. Hardly means minimal in this context and my response was minimal. Hope that is a bit more clear. By the way, I am not a Kioti dealer but respect their products as a very good brand.

As a competitor if I just passed this type of a statement around I would be doing a bad thing to what I consider a good company. In any case SCDolphin explained it and that is good enough.

Daedong posted US$ 370 Million in sales in 2005. The estimated sales amount would be US$ 431 Million in 2006. Daedong Ag Tractors sold 12,000 units worldwide in 2005 and their export portion is 25 percent. Daedong has a subsidiary “Daedong U.S.A.,” which was established in Wendell, North Carolina, in 1993, to introduce high quality compact tractors to the American market

One interesting perspective on how many tractors Kioti is selling can be found in the details of the KL120/130 loader repair program. The company has ordered at least 4000 repair kits for those loaders so far. As those only fit the loaders for CK series tractors built between 2004 and the end of 2006, I guess it is reasonable to assume they must have sold more than 4000 CK20/25/30s. I presume some (?percentage) of the CKs are sold without loaders too. I don't know if 4000 is the total but they seem to have planned on repairing at least that many loaders.

It's just plain wrong to make a statement like that with no basis. They call that hearsay.
