Kioti resale value

I know it has been mentioned before about the resale value of Kioti tractors. I would like to take the time now to give my real world experience of my "former Kioti tractor".

I purchased my 2002 Kioti DK65 w/kioti loader in August of 2002, brand spankin new for $23,080. Friday April 6th 2012 it left my property for good. I really hope I do not regret it, but it is a done deal!! I put 804 hours on it. Tractor sold for $21,000 to the very first guy!!!!

I do not know what that equates to as far as cost of ownership, but I venture to say that it is very good!!!

This mean you're in the market or no longer have need of a tractor? Great example of how much of an investment a tractor can be.

For starters I didn't like the fact that Kioti quit making that model. Was there a reason they quit making it? I wondered if parts for that model would become obsolete.

2nd reason, I mainly only used the front end loader. Didn't really use the rear of the tractor lately.

I think that I read somewhere that it had to do with the engine and the smog stuff. Don't quote me, but something like that I believe.

That's very possible, but I was thinking they still used the Perkins engine in the bigger Kioti's also????

Now that it is gone, I'm leaning towards a ASV, Cat, or Bobcat compact track loader.

I think you are correct. They replaced it with the DK75 with a ?Tier4 engine.

I just bought a new CK20S(hst) about 2 weeks ago. I was shopping around at all the makes, and I noticed that all the other comparably sized tractors had around a 29hp engine, while the CK20 is now rated around 22hp. I BS'd with the dealer for quite awhile before I finally bought the Kioti, but I asked him why the CK20 was rated with so much fewer HP compared to the others, especially when the dimensions and capabilities were nearly identical (or even higher in some cases)... anyhow, here's what he said:

Kioti under-rated this engine because it needed to fit into a certain "class" for smog/economy issues. They will also be retiring the CK27 soon, because it doesn't fit the model.

I'm wondering if this is similar to the MPG-caps that the govt. puts on automakers, saying that their avg MPG's have to be at xxx by a certain year/date.

Asv no, cat only if the compact track loader not asv style, Bobcat yes!!!!! Had them for years!! Have a T190 with HVAC and SJC now and it's great, my dad owns a new m series but that's just to large for my stuff. T190 will pick up just about 3,000lbs. Bobcat has a nice steel undercarriage rather than asv's plastic undercarriage.
