So I'm in central Montana and thinking of pulling the trigger on CK2610, my local Kioti dealer is quoting me $20k flat for one with hst, fel, and 2 hydraulic remotes. He's also throwing in a set of pallet forks since this was a demo model and has 84 hours on it. I did some shopping around online and found a dealer in Salt Lake that's advertising CK3510's for $19500? My thought is if I can get 10 more hp for the same price and a weekend drive it's worth it. Just checking if you think the first price is fair and what your thoughts are on my choices. Thanks!

Internet price checks aren't worth the time tbh, what you can get in your area is what you can get. Some guy 2000 miles away saying he got this or that matters little, stick locally to finding good prices or as far as your willing to drive.

Those two tractors have the same frame and roughly can do the same things, the bigger tractor will merely provide more HP and PTO power which isnt bad. With that said also look into emissions the 2610 I believe doesnt have any the other does.

I’d say stick to a local dealer. If any issues pop up then you have a relationship with a dealer to get things done. Maybe use the internet price to see if your dealer will price match it on a CK3510.

Do you need the PTO horsepower? Will you be doing a lot of mowing? Would you rather have a tractor without all the emissions junk or more HP? What are your primary tasks for the tractor?

I'm really leaning to sticking with the 2610 to keep out of emissions crap. I don't really need the extra PTO hp, I already have a 5 foot brush hog, snowblower, box blade, and rototiller. I've always been of the mindset to buy the biggest you can afford at the time so that's what brought up the question. I also like our local dealers so we'll see if I can't use it to get a lower price. I'm replacing a mid 70's Kubota L260 and am still tossing around between the ck2610 and a Kubota l2501. Price is the same but Kubota has better financing and rebate incentives, Kioti looks to have better numbers in specs. I drive them both tomorrow so we'll see.

You don't drive specs, you drive machinery. In your shoes I'd quit internet shopping and just try them out to see which works best for you. Maybe rent one over the weekend.
To compare makes is difficult. What I do is compare dealers... and the most accurate way to do that I know of is to take a look at their service department. Ask the dealer for a tour of his repair shop. If he's proud of his service dept. he is going to be glad to do so.

Sounds like the Kioti has quick attach and you’ll really like pallet forks.

Base price will vary across the country but in April I looked at the three SE models (2610, 3510, 4010) all with hst. The 3510 was $2200 above the 2610 and the 4010 was $1800 over the 3510. Another way to look at it was $244/hp to go to the 3510, but $360/hp to go to the 4010. Since the 3510 and 4010 are absolutely identical except ecm changes I picked the 3510. The occasional high grass bogs my 35hp down for a few seconds so I am glad I went 35hp but the 40 wouldn’t have been much use.

As far as tier 4 emissions read all the testimonials on here - it is a non issue these days. I just had my first regen at 41 hours and barely noticed it. Instead pick the features, power, and price point for you but don’t sweat the emissions

I have a old 1988 Kioti that is still a good tractor and follow two Kioti forums, it seems to me that Kioti is able to undercut other tractor prices, by poor quality control , poor design and using poor quality castings. Just my thoughts ☺
