Kioti Parts made in.....China?

Howdy folks,

Received this part from Kioti dealer for my DK40se hst. Do you see where this part is manufactured? China?

Holy cow, I purchased Kioti because it was made in Korea (and some assembly done here). We have owned 5 Hyundai cars over the years, the DK40 and, for the most part, Korean manufactured products are of excellent quality. Disturbing to see them outsourcing to China.

Of course my neighbors 300 hp John Deere has "made in China" stamped all over the heavy castings...

I'm not against made in China, IF Daedong has held them to same standards and QC. But I guess only time will tell unfortunately.

My new John Deere 5100M has parts from China and India, but the tractor is "made in USA". I'm almost ready to give in and quick looking to see where stuff is made...

It's pretty crazy some things you think are made in the USA and they aren't. Had a '93 Chevrolet Camaro built in Canada, and a '07 Nissan Maxima built in Tennessee. LoL

That's very true. Very good things are manufactured in China as long as the customer's standards are maintained.

It's the cheap knock-offs that give the country a bad name... unfortunately there are a lot of cheap knock-offs out there.

It really isn't surprising that they are buying some components from China. Daedong has operations in China so it is possible they are manufacturing it there. Korea isn't the cheapest place in the world to build things so companies there do tend to source things from China to save cost.

My lk 3054 needed a water pump. 275 bucks from the dealer and 3 to 4 weeks. Quick Google search later I found the manufacturer in China and had it in 10 days for 80 bucks

This. :thumbsup: The Chinese factories can make machinery, equipment, electronics and other parts near as well as anyone on the planet. It's the specs and adherence to QC demanded by their customers that determines the quality of the ultimate product.

I agree the Chinese can build quality stuff, but past experience with many of their products have made me very leery. I hope Daedong is watching very carefully. Recall the Chinese-made Mahindra 2525 tractor a few years ago? I looked at that tractor to buy and am happy I walked away.
