Tractor
Century 3647
I'm about to purchase a new tractor, and can get a kioti DK40 or branson/century 4520 for about the same price.
they're both brand new.
The kioti seems sturdier, but frankly, the branson has easier access for fuel, slightly more horsepower, and looks cool.
any advice, suggestions? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Now that you have narrowed it down to 2 machines I suggest you test drive both.
Which one is more comfortable for you? Which controls do you prefer?
Which dealer do prefer ?
I can tell you I have had my DK 35 for a couple years now and feel it is an excellant tractor.
I have not had the chance to try out a Branson yet but hope to some day !
Good luck

I own a century 3045 so I am partial but the branson/century line is SOLID. I have over 95hrs on mine and it has done EVERY thing I could ask of it and I use mine hard. Yes the fuel tank is a big advantage as is the visability from the seat. And RED is cool. The Yanmar 4cyl is smooth and starts very good in the cold. I wish I could compare the kioti but that is the one tractor I wasn't able to compare but compared to all the others the century won in my book. I was a machine repairman with GM before I retired and worked on a lot of different machines so I think I can look at a machine and tell quality and that is one of the reasons I went with century.
That said You should set on both and see how they fit you and then see how you feel with each dealer as that can be a big plus. Good Luck

DK vince has some good advice for you. I sell both the Branson and the Kioti. Both machines have features that I like. The Branson is wider, The Kioti is taller, I do like the position of the fuell tanks on the Branson, Kioti has more "goodies" on the 3 point - such as telescoping lift arms, The Branson fits me better, You can get on and off the Kioti from either side much more easily.(assuming that the Kioti has a KMW loader and the Branson has a Branson or Tass Loader) The Kioti has an electrictly switched PTO, the Branson PTO is engaged and disengaged with linkage.
Check out the Dealer. Which one will take care of you many years down the road.
BOTH MACHINES ARE AN EXECLANT CHOICE.

is there any advantagee of the branson over the century?
I know they're the same tractor. I can get the century for less, but the branson dealer says that century is going out of business.
thanks again for your help.

the branson dealer says that century is going out of business.
Branson and Century are built by the same Company. So if one is going out of business so would the other. That doesn't appear to be the case .

Here's the Companies website Kukje, click here

The one real advantage of the century is the fel. It is a midmount that is very heavy duty. It has a heavy frame that goes the full lenght of the tractor so you aren't putting stress on the bellhousing. also you can remove it in less than a minute. PLUS it has a quick attach bucket that is great as you can change from bucket to forks to snowplow and soforth with just the pull of a lever. Really very handy. It is one of the best fels if not the best out there.
