Ok here i am Been looking at tractors and trying to decide over the past few weeks. I have finally narrowed it down and i am leaning heavy on a KIOTI NX5510 CAB SHUTTLE SHIFT LOADER BACKHOE.......Got the pricing worked out got the dealer picked out, and Bang for Buck it's a no brainier. Just waiting to pull the trigger and going to test drive one more time tomorrow. ANYBODY have one, any problems, any known problems, any suggestions.

I will be doing general farming including square and round baling, NH269 and sometimes a 5x4 round baler 500to 800lb bales around 20 acres yearly. And since i am trying to buy for the last time and diversify my options, i'm adding the backhoe.

I seem to keep scaring the dealers because when i price one of these set up's they say shew, man, thats an expensive little setup your pricing.......My thoughts, and response has been, Have you Prices a Kubota, NH, or Deere Lately????:confused2:

I have a newish 109 hours DK5510 clutch that I bought used with 56 hours. It replaces a 2004 Kubota L2800. I can now move round bales quickly and safely. I don’t bale , just mowing, rototilling and hauling wood. I’m in the process of cleaning up the L2800 to sell but I’m a bit nervous since the Kioti is hi tech compared to the older Kubota. I don’t think the Kubota has printed circuit boards under the dash but I know for sure the Kioti does. And an electric solenoid to start and shutdown the PTO. I know the price on the Kioti is great, but I’m wondering if I should have taken the time to look at 50hp 10-15 year old Kubotas. One issue with the Kioti is that it can sit idling all day long and the engine will never warm up. It only warms up if it’s working. I’ll let it idle to say open a gate but otherwise I just shut it down instead of letting it idle. So far everything works except that the controll for the loader fell apart inside the rubber boot. I fixed it myself after getting some metric screws and loctite.
My only suggestion is for you the consider whether you really need the backhoe. There are a lot of hoes in my neighborhood.

I do understand the Backhoe situation...... same around here ever since all the 24hp tractor glorified lawn mowers came out and they started putting Backhoes on them to "increase there usefulness"

However between that and a full size backhoe....there ain't much other than contracted or rented excavators.....But to be honest the Backhoe isn't a have to have for me, i just know it's usually cheaper to get all at once than to add later....

I have the nx4510ch with backhoe. So far very happy (only had a couple months though). I like the hydrostat. Specific reason that you are going shuttle?

Prefer Gears for general farming.....Hydro may be fine but just my preference.

For the work your wanting to do you really should be looking at the RX Series.

I have a nx5010 cab hst with backhoe and I love it. I am not a farmer so take what I say with a grain of salt. If u will be doing anything that requires ground clearance u need to be aware that the backhoe frame (that stays with the tractor after you remove the backhoe) reduces your ground clearance by about 6 inches. This has never been a big problem for me but I do need to take care when I am crossing areas with stumps and rocks.
