Kioti LK3054 ignition switch wiring

I have a Kioti LK3054 that the original ignition switch was replaced with a NAPA one. The wiring harness has four wires in it. Red=Battery, Red/white stripe=acc, Small black wire=starter and
a large Black wire that has been cut. The tractor starts,runs, and the lights work, but the alternator light stays on. I have not yet checked the alternator output yet but will. Any Ideas on
what the heavy black wire could go to. I can't find a wiring diagram for it. The four wire plug to the switch has been overheated, probably by the glow plugs . I plan on using a separate
wire for the glow plugs and resistor with a push button. Any help is much appreciated. Dave.

My owner's manual has a rather crude wiring diagram on the last page. It appears that there are 2 wires that come off the ignition switch go to the glow plugs...one thru the resistor/indicator, the other one bypasses the resistor (total of 5 wires to the switch, the glow-plug-thru-resistor one looks like it has it's own connector). The alternator output is directly connected to the battery thru a fusible link. Looks like it has a separate regulator.

The diagram doesn't show any of the idiot lights, so it's unclear how they're wired.

Mine is an LK3054xs, dunno how the wiring differs from the older 3054s.
