I purchased my New Kioti 30 Aug 07. From day one my problem has been for the tractor losing power. The shop has adjusted the clutch and replaced the complete clutch system. But the shop keeps telling me the clutch keeps getting burn up. I DO NOT ride the clutch, not hard on the tractor. Its now been in the shop 88 days and I have use it for approx 8-days. Why does the clutch keep burning up?

Thank you for any help

There is evidently a GREAT deal of drag on the clutch; if you're not "slipping" it or "riding" it, and you're e-brake is not engaged, you have a serious internal driveline problem. I'm sure they have checked the brake adjustment, but if not it would be the first place to go. Jack all four wheels off the ground, place the transmission and shuttle in neutral and rotate each of the wheels. If no excessive resistance is noted, shift the shuttle into forward or reverse, while leaving the transmission in the neutral position, and try rotating the wheels again. There has to be a serious binding in the driveline or they have misdiagnosed you're problem:confused: You should also check the PTO system to be sure the problem isn't there as both systems utilize the same clutch system(dual stage)

Thats really strange. It is a simple tractor. If it was a miss adjustment of the clutch you would think the shop would have got it right. If your not riding the clutch, or slipping it while moving slowly, or slipping it while doing loader work, seems strange. If there is a mechanical problem in the drive line you would think it would hardly move or drag the engine to a stop.

I was told that the clutch should be used as on or off. Very little in between. Meaning don't slide or slip the clutch to control the speed of the tractor. Particularly when it has a load against it. Use the gearbox to select the speed. I can shift mine very quickly even from Hi to low, forward to back. And since the four main gears are sync, it can shift like a car.
