Kioti EX5310 emission system

I bought a 2021 Kioti EX531, in Australia, and am trying to find out what emission system, ie DPF Doc, it has so I can do what is required to maintain it. There is no mention of it in the owners manual either directly or indirectly. The agent assures me it does not have DPF. There is no regen control. It is direct injection. I get a short burst of black smoke on first startup of the day. I cannot find a workshop manual anywhere. Any advice would be appreciated.

Can you post a picture of the engine compartment with the exhaust? The fact that you are getting a burst of black smoke on startup makes me think you don't have a DPF.

Does Kioti have a online parts catalog? If so, look up your serial number and check the exhaust system.

A DPF (which is often a DOC+DPF) will be in place of the muffler. It is usually a stainless steel cannister that's larger than the usual muffler. It'll be in a couple sections usually held together with V-band clamps. There will be at least a couple sensor wires connected to it. If your tractor has not got DOC/DPF there'll just be a plain muffler in the exhaust system. No clamps or sensors.

That's it, no sensors or clamps so no DPF etc. It appears we don't require them in Australia so Kioti make a speciol one for us.
