Just wanted to add an update on the Kioti DKSE because, honestly, I just love that thing so much that I keep thinking I need to come back and update.
Here is the thread where I described my needs and plans for the tractor: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/buying-pricing-comparisons/393144-30-acres-20-years.html?highlight=
I ended up getting the Kioti DK4710SE and it fits the property and my needs so perfectly. Its powerful enough to do almost everything I've asked of it while being just nimble enough where it doesnt feel ridiculous being out in the woods in some tight spots. So far I have:
Regraded my 3/4 mile gravel drive
Dug out or pushed over some fairly sizeable trees(this totally depends on the species)
Cleared a few acres of land.
Created/leveled a pad on a hillside for a 30x40 shop/shed(this involved moving a LOT of dirt)
Dug a garden with a two bottom plow
Did the initial land clearing for my moms house
Cut about a mile of trail through the woods
There have been very few tasks which I have asked this machine to do that it wasn't up to. Mainly those are trying to take out small diameter oaks(those things are some stubborn mf'ers
) and trying to pick up some pretty ridiculous logs. Think 18' red oak @ 30' diameter.
In my opinion, adding the HST transmission to this machine puts makes it perfection for anyone looking for that perfect balance of features for the price. I have never once questioned this purchase.
ETA: Wasnt sure this was the appropriate place for this post but really felt compelled to put in a good word for this tractor.
