Kioti DK45S
Hi all. I've read this site for some time but just joined.

In greasing my Kioti DK45S at 350 hours, I saw grease fittings on the outboard ends of the power steering cylinders and also at the aft pivot of the front axle. However the owners manual and shop manual did not say to grease these. It did say to grease the top link of the three-point but mine had no fittings (just holes and I don't see any need for grease on those threads).

Does anyone know what's right here? Should the top link have fittings? Should those other three points get greased (I went ahead and greased them figuring the fittings were there for a reason).

I'm assuming this is just an oversight in the owner's manual and shop manual. But maybe someone with more experience knows for sure.

Scott

I have a 2005 DK45S and you have the right idea with the grease zerks. The top link isn't greased unless you put some on the threads. The holes that you are talking about are for driving out the roll pins in the hitch ends so they can be removed.

RANDYT,

Many thanks. Guess the documentation confusion is all part if the Korean to English translation. I'd like to maintain my machine properly hoping it will last as long as I do.

Oveall, I think the DK45 is an awesome tractor. It appears much beefier compared to other tractors I looked at. The shuttle transmission is great for loader work compared to a regular shifter.

Cheers

My DK45 SE HST manual shows the following
1. grease front and back axle pivots
2. Power steering cyllinder Rt hand & Left hand. inside & outside
3. top link holders...

grsthegreat,

Great scan. I'll print it and stick it in my book. Looks like I may have missed fittings on the bevel gear case and the hydraulic cylinder support. I'll look for these in the daylight tomorrow.

Thanks.

Thanks again to RANDYT and grsthegreat. I also found this link:

downloads.pfgaustralia.com.au - /intranetwebcache/Service/Service Manuals/DA/

in a thread called \Re: Service Manual that started 8/18/11 by VictorW. The link leads to lots of tech data for some versions of the tractor.

I also have two owners manuals and a paper service manual which I bought. These are all different and all undated which makes it hard to know which manual goes with which tractor, or probably they are all wrong.

In the end, the scan from grsthegreat agrees with my physical tractor (probably a 2006 or 2007 model) except my tractor does not have grease fittings on the bevel gear case (which doesn't even look like the picture in the scan). So there are four more fittings to grease not shown on my paper owners or service manuals.

I'm very thankful for the expertise and help on this site.
