Hello,

I知 looking for recommendations on an appropriate hydraulic ram to replace my side link to put together a tilt kit. Already have factory control valve and remotes. I just need the ram with the correct travel, collapsed length and ends to connect to three point. The dealer wants an arm and a leg. I was browsing a site called topandtilt.com , but theyæ±*e gone now.

Thanks!

If you want to build it correctly, you need a 3" stroke cylinder. This will allow you to have an equal amount of tilt angle to both sides basically mimicking the factory manual link. I seriously doubt that your dealer has the proper stroke cylinder for the application. Most build it to provide either an unequal tilt to each side or simply no tilt to the left side at all.

I know of no other manufacturer that uses 3" stroke cylinders for for this purpose other than me.

Good luck in your search and final decision. ;)

Instead of building something custom couldn’t a swivel be used at the top attachment of the side link that pins onto the hydraulic cylinder? Seems it would be easier to have cylinders for a certain open close length and have it pin on and allow for the “proper” angle. I got the idea when shopping for leveling box for my Kioti CK4010. Seems the leveling box swivels to allow for the proper angle. The hydraulic side links were way pricey in my opinion...

I recently purchased and installed a top and tilt kit on my CK3510. Being a new tractor owner, I figured a plug-and-play kit spec'd by a professional was my best bet. I got my kit from Michigan Iron (KIOTI Tractor 3-Point Top-N-Tilt Kits) and I'm very happy with it. Took 5m to install and it came with everything, fully assembled. I would highly recommend it's. The side link cylinder even has the same custom angle as the OEM side link.

The only thing missing from this kit would be a larger wire clip to hold the new top link cylinder. As you can see, the stock clip for storing the fixed top link is not large enough for the cylinder. Also, probably don't hang your cylinder from the hydraulic fittings as I have done. This was just to hold it up for the photo.

What size cylinder did they use? Can you float the top link? Thinking of getting a set up for my DK5510.

Float for the top link would depend primarily on the rear remote valve. Unfortunately, a float valve is not a factory-offered option on the CK3510SE so mine does not float (I have spring and detent). Probably your best bet is to email and ask them the cylinder information for the DK10 kit as it might be different than the cylinders used on my CK10 kit.

Well there certainly appears to be a lot of helpful tractor owners on here. This is my very first forum to join.
So what are the pros and cons of the valve on a hydraulic link? I have a CK3510 as well and want to do boxblading and rear blade work . Thanks for any help

The check valve on the cylinder prevents any movement of the piston, essentially locking the cylinder.

they don't seem to list any specs on their site - what the min/max lengths on the top & side travel cylinders?

I'm pretty sure that they use a 4" stroke for the side link. That presents an issue of not having an equal amount of tilt angle available to both sides and still maintain the OEM center point dimensions. (As in what the fixed left side link is)
