Kioti CK2610 and Kubota L2501

I have been looking at getting a tractor for my property (3.5 acres) and I have narrowed it to these two the Kioti CK2610 and Kubota L2501 both TLB.

I have a price of $34500 cash for both from my local dealers. All Kubota dealers have given me a similar price. The next closest Kioti Dealer is 3.5 hours away including a ferry ride, but they have quoted me a price of $30,500.

On posts I have read it looks like A similar Kioti is less money than a Kubota.

If anyone could give a comparison for a price in Canada it would be appreciated.

Have you asked the closer Kioti dealer to match or at least come closer to the other dealers quote? Obviously that's a big price difference, which makes the more distant dealer much more appealing. If you anticipate doing your own maintenance and repairs, that's not such a big deal, but I'd think that if you buy the tractor elsewhere, your local dealer will be a little less excited about doing warranty work for you, for example.

From the specs, they seem to be pretty similar. The Kubota makes its power at a slightly lower RPM, which is generally nice, but it's only 200 RPM different. The Kioti loader is a little stronger on paper, but again, a very small difference.

Can I ask why you need a backhoe for 3.5 acres? I don't know how many jobs you have for the hoe, but have you considered renting a mini-ex to accomplish them? Unless you will be using the hoe quite a bit, you can save lots of $$$ by skipping it.

You didn't say, but does the Kubota have the SSQA loader bucket, and is it HST? Just looking briefly into it, I found a new Kubota L2501 HST with a pin-on loader bucket, no BH, of course, for an asking price of$17,700 US... just for comparison. I would agree with motown, a back hoe is a terrible thing to purchase/drag around if you don't need it very often.
