Lloyd---You will like the AC now and the heat in the winter. Good luck with your 45, have 350 hours on mine and so far it's "done good."

It ROCKS!!! But I have a feeling some will go HST just because they won't spend enough trying the shuttle shift.

Truth be told, FEL work may seem easier at first and did after my first run into the pile of stone. On the second pass into the pile I did not even think about it, Lower Gear, RPM around 1600, hit the pile and let off just before lift and I was shifting before the pile was level. Strange thing was, it was like second nature, and was very smooth from there on out, did not even think about it.

I Love the Gear and would not trade it for anything, I also like the mechanical feel of it all. Plus the piece of mind I will have when doing to the Heavy Ground Engagement work that I am not burning up the HST (have done so on a rental) made it an easy choice for me.

Oh, sorry, did you mean me? :D

No, but thank you for responding anyway! Sounds like you are very pleased with your machine. I went to see the DK45S last week and I must say it was very nice. I'm waiting on the dealer to see if he is interested in anything I have to trade, but I must say I am really leaning toward the Dk45S. :)

Still looking forward to hearing your thoughts and seeing your pics Lloyde.

Woodworkerman,

The shuttle shift is great. Once you get the feel for it - it is very smooth.
Mostly using high range 3rd and 1st gear. Used 4x4 a couple of times to get into the manure pile.

I played/worked another hour today. Starting smelling coolant. Looked at panel - heat gage is the red - shut her down!

Leaking anti-freeze below cab just were the loader connects. I let it cool down restarted and tried heater. No heat. I will call dealer in morning. He was planning on taking the tractor back this week to install the BH.

I assume the cab pinched the heater hose to cab - looks like a tight spot to get into.

Also, why are some grease zerks more difficult than others when trying to remove the gun?

It arrived with Industrial tires - supposed to be ag's. He said to try these for a week or so. He also filled rear tires - no charge. This is all new so I would really like feed back to help make a decision about tires.

I will be snow blowing a 1000' lane with rolled down class A.
Most (90%) of my work will be around pasture and down in the woods hauling out firewood, removing alders and fencing. There are a couple of wet areas and I would also like to build a small shallow pond - 20'x60'.

Will post picks tomorrow...

Sounds a lot like my property/reasons for looking at tractors. Best of luck with your antifreeze problem.....I'm sure you will post your dealer response.
