I did save the old spindle just in case. I figured once I put in the new assembly and freed up some time I could then double back and see If I might dissassemble the old unit and salvage the spindle & hub for rebuilding. Never hurts to have a spare on hand since finish mowers rerely break in the dead of winter. They seem to go when you need them the most. I think that has something to do with Murphey's law.
Where do folks get parts for First Choice decks and do they have a web site? I might be in the market for a deck larger than 7'.
