Today I was out servicing the unit getting ready to start cutting when I noticed that the company must have shot their engineer to soon. Why would anyone weld a triangle of steel with no way for water to escape, maybe they want it to rust out so you will buy another because their paint job is not going tp protect it for long. So I took my drill and a one inch chassis punch and added to two new holes in the corners and now no standing water. I know it's thick metal and might take forever to rust out but now it might last a lot longer.

Good idea. I think I will do the same.

A word of warning if you leave the box blade outside just watch out for the paper hornets they love to build nest inside the shank housing. I got nailed three times on the arm last year when hooking the unit to the tractor, killed about 40 of them and it had at least 3 large nests inside the housing. Now i keep it covered or inside the barn.

thanks for the reminder. i am allergic to bees, wasp, yellow jackets etc. i am sure a few hornet stings would kill me before i could get to a hospital.

Those kk mowers are hormonicly balanced, unless you got those two holes in exactly same spot, mower will self destruct.

Give me a break but I hate to disagree with you because there's no way that will happen these mowers aren't that balanced and adding two one inch holes is not going to make any different. I've even cut steel fence posts in half and not had any effect on how it operates, I'm sure it didn't help the blades and that was last year. Have you or anyone else ever balanced the blades on their mower!

Only if you think so, but really I thought you had just incorrectly typed the word. Sometimes on different forums you have to read between the lines to get the correct message.

I really think it funny that greenmule (kioti tractor) and tydp (Kubota tractor ) need to come to this forum to either have fun or to learn what their missing in not having a good tractor.

Got You!!!!

Sergie, was thinking about[ready to buy] a mahindra but there aren't[or wasn't] any dealers within two hours drive, got three or more kioti tractor dealers within 1 hour,so bought kioti. But thats what I came down too, mahindra and kioti, wasn't going to pay 3 grand or more for a name.

Happy with my second tier brand, hope you are with yours.

I know that has been an issue with finding a Mahindra dealer, that has been discussed before. In my case I have a local dealer for Kioti and was able to test both the 25/30 series tractors. Then I saw the add on TV for the Mahindra and found that the nearest dealer for me was 75 miles in eastern Iowa so made a trip after dropping wife at work and tested the 2815/3215 at the dealer, loved the way the FEL controls, HST foot pedals are layed out and front end is built as compared to the Kioti. No bend tie rod with the 2815 as people had reported on the Kioti, much better design. Signed the papers that day and had the tractor at the end of the week delivered. Dealer gave me a full set of filters and last week send me 3 cans of paint at no charge, even ordered 5 oil filters and didn't have to prepay and he charged me his cost. GREAT DEALER.
And the price I payed was by far cheaper than the Kioti dealer, some dealers will deal other not.
But I'm not sure how one can call the Mahindra a second tier brand due to the size of the company and number they sell.
But does it really matter so long as one is happy with what they have, It's still only a tractor and built to do work and not a car or truck.
But I'm thinking about adding a car stereo and speakers this summer.

Sergei, First I run 2 Kubotas and one Ford. If the Kubotas run another 20 years with HARD use like the Ford, then I would say they are good!
Second, as far a good tractors go, I can see that ONLY ON THE FIRST PAGE OF MAHINDRA FORUM these are the problems reported: transmission leak, emissions system clogging up, power steering lines bent, rubber plug in front axle falling out twice, constant plugged radiator fins on 4110's, broken hydro pedal spring, 2615 HST transmission problems, 2 cracked cast iron steering mounts, clutch out at 900 hrs, leaking loader cylinder, and finally a cracked wheel. Considering low sales numbers for the brand in the USA, I would hate to see what YOU might call a poor quality tractor!

I know this is going to get me in trouble but it takes.......2 Kubotas = ONE Mahindra Tractor!

other than coming with a crappy battery the only problems i have had with my mahindra have been self induced. i am very pleased with it so far. it is a far stouter tractor than the new holland i had prior.

Alright, I will jump in...I am VERY pleased with my Mahindra 5530 4WD. I grew up using John Deere and when I had the chance, I bought a JD 2010...kept it for a few months and sold it to buy my 5530. Best thing I did in a long time! "Red" is strong as **** and does everything I have ever wanted it to. All the research I did with New Holland, Case/IH, JD, Ford, Kubota...the Mahindra beat them all in 90% of the comparisons I looked at. Then when you compare the price and the way the dealer takes care of you versus the other manufacturers...MAHINDRA Hands down!

My tractor has a spot where water collects around seat if tractor is parked a certain way. I park on a downgrade level. If it's parked right the water drains out. Is there a way where you can park it so the water drains?

Jst a thought....Coffeeman
