Today I was out servicing the unit getting ready to start cutting when I noticed that the company must have shot their engineer to soon. Why would anyone weld a triangle of steel with no way for water to escape, maybe they want it to rust out so you will buy another because their paint job is not going tp protect it for long. So I took my drill and a one inch chassis punch and added to two new holes in the corners and now no standing water. I know it's thick metal and might take forever to rust out but now it might last a lot longer.

Good idea. I think I will do the same.

A word of warning if you leave the box blade outside just watch out for the paper hornets they love to build nest inside the shank housing. I got nailed three times on the arm last year when hooking the unit to the tractor, killed about 40 of them and it had at least 3 large nests inside the housing. Now i keep it covered or inside the barn.

thanks for the reminder. i am allergic to bees, wasp, yellow jackets etc. i am sure a few hornet stings would kill me before i could get to a hospital.

Those kk mowers are hormonicly balanced, unless you got those two holes in exactly same spot, mower will self destruct.

Give me a break but I hate to disagree with you because there's no way that will happen these mowers aren't that balanced and adding two one inch holes is not going to make any different. I've even cut steel fence posts in half and not had any effect on how it operates, I'm sure it didn't help the blades and that was last year. Have you or anyone else ever balanced the blades on their mower!

Only if you think so, but really I thought you had just incorrectly typed the word. Sometimes on different forums you have to read between the lines to get the correct message.

I really think it funny that greenmule (kioti tractor) and tydp (Kubota tractor ) need to come to this forum to either have fun or to learn what their missing in not having a good tractor.

Got You!!!!

Sergie, was thinking about[ready to buy] a mahindra but there aren't[or wasn't] any dealers within two hours drive, got three or more kioti tractor dealers within 1 hour,so bought kioti. But thats what I came down too, mahindra and kioti, wasn't going to pay 3 grand or more for a name.

Happy with my second tier brand, hope you are with yours.
