Bobcat CT235
Next year I will need a rotary mower. Expectation will be for use on grass and weed control in a new wildflower acreage. A local ag supply is closing out this years model of King Kutter's Flex Hitch model. (domed) I like the price but am concerned about durability, the gearbox, and the 1-year warranty. I am also looking @ Woods Bush Bull as another possibility, but the price is more than double. Also, I am leaning towards a 6 foot mower for my CT235, Any opinions or suggestions?

Thanks

I responded to your other post. If you are just mowing weeds, go with the KK. IF you plan on running it through some brush you will be happier in the long run with the Brush Bull

Woods isn't necessarily the gold standard. I bought a Brushbull and a Woods box blade awhile back, assuming that their production standards were very high. Both attachments had several defects of the type we expect from the Chinese-throw-it-together-type products. My dealer was embarrassed and offered that Woods was having ownership issues.

I looked at the King Kutter and " dealer brands" when I was in the market for a 6 ft cutter. Better gearbox, thicker deck, slip clutch swayed me to the higher priced one. I am very pleased with my Rhino 172.

It is a L3240, 32hp engine and 27hp PTO.

I have a KK rear finish mower and it is "TOP SHELF" as far as im concerned its i guess 5 years old now, used to mow heavy pasture grass and part of our lawn. Probably 6000 acres on it now and the only repair was new wheel bearings and axle bolts which i got at tractor supply for about 25 dollars. I also changed the lift chain from one in the center to two chain lift, one on each corner it runs on a Mahindra 2810HST and also a Kioti DK35SE-HST My mower takes a lot of use and does a GREAT job. Mine has the "fLEX- hitch" and it is great especially on rough ground. I get very little scalping with mine and mine come with "Oregon" blades which by the way, i ground for the first time this spring, they had very few nicks and held an edge nicely . . . .John

I've been running a Wood BB-60 behind my L3240 since 2007. It's a nice cutter and well made. Just so you know, KK also makes better quality cutters, but you have to go lookin' for them as TSC and other big outlets don't stock them. If I were in the market for a new cutter I'd look at the KK Flex Hitch. It can be had with a stainless deck and a very innovative hitch system:
