I brought home a new 4 ' KK rotary cutter today and need to assemble the lift arm kit. I toyed with it before it got dark and something didn't seem right. The lift arm support braces ( the long ones) seemed to me to need to be bent or shaped better since they are perfectly straight.

Has anyone else put one of these together?

Thought I'd ask before I try to assemble it tomorrow.

I recently put together a 5' KingKutter RC, and looking at the directions was wondering the same thing. I put it together anyways, and it works fine. What happens is you hook up one side of the 3pt mounting pieces and one of the long braces, then use the other side of the 3pt mounting pieces as leverage to bend the support braces into place. It's really not that difficult.

Just make sure you follow the directions closely, and don't pay too much attention to the pieces. One of the reasons that KingKutter is able to be cheaper than others is that everything is made out of stock pieces of metal. So things won't look like they are supposed to fit together, but if you follow the directions and tighten everything down well, you'll get a pretty solid RC.

The only thing that I would double check before putting it together is making sure you have all the parts. You don't want to get part way into this and realize you're missing a nut or bolt.
