Keyword Search Software Needed

Can anyone recommend an easy to use program (is there such a thing) to assist in keyword search? In other words I would like to find software that if given a keyword phrase like western spurs it will tell me how many times that phrase was searched and any similar related phrases that might also be considered of value for search engine optimization.
