KB2485 stabilizer control boots won't stay in place

Hi:

This is a small thing, but I can't get the boots to stay in place. I don't think the hole stamped in the metal is quite the right size to fit the boot.

Being completely ignorant in the ways of hydraulics, are these boots more or less cosmetic, or do they have a real job to do with respect to keeping dirt out of things. Maybe I should just get a tube of clear silicone and stick them in place. Of course, that will bite me in the butt if any work is needed in that area.

Sadly I havn't got much seat time in. I am all the way up to hour 8 I think. Life has been getting in the way. Hopefully the fall will be better.

Hi,
You have the answer. Just put a couple of dab of adhesive to the edge of the slot and it should stay in place. A little drop on all four sides.
