KB2385 installation

Per request, here's a few photos of the Kioti KB2385 installed on my DK45S.

I moved a bit of dirt with it today, still on the learning curve of the controls, but it went better towards the last 1/2 hour than the first, and that's always positive. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Funny you should say that, when I pulled the stabilizers up one time, they had a little dirt sitting on top of the pad, they moved so fast that it was thrown neatly on my foot, about two hand fulls. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

That's part of the learning curve, there's no shortage of power to move any portion of the BH way too fast for safety or comfort, so a gentle touch on the control levers is a must.

Nice looking setup Pat. Did you get your dirt pads from the dealer or somewhere else? Also, about what did they cost?

I have almost the same setup as you, except that mine is a DK45. Just celebrated it's one year anniversary. No regrets, just need more seat time. You will love that tractor.

OK Pat....what is the "secret" to posting those great pic's ? I seem to spend alot of time, then give up grumbling. What program do you use? I have the Microsoft Powertoy image re-sizer, but somehow they come out too small.

The dirt pads attach to the feet of the backhoe's stabilizers. They help to give you a firmer grip into the soil.
I'm not sure of pricing these days. I got mine on my CK20 back in Jan. of 2004, but I think they may be a few hundred dollars.

They are pads made of rubber that you bolt on your steel pad.
They are used to keep from scuffing blacktop or concrete.
You can also get "bigfoot pads" they are for wet soft conditions.
I sold alot of street pads but never bigfoot pads.

I would think you can have a welder make you some, but otherwise, they will probably have to be ordered from a dealer.
Since you have no information in your profile, I can't suggest anyone near you.
You may wish to go to my home at the top of page and then click on personal settings to fill out the info. This can help because someone living near you can see where you are, and possibly give you local info.

Mine are made of steel and are for dirt. The pads Rick Wallace is talking about are for pavement, places you want to protect. Since I do most of my work in dirt, I use these pads.
I just went out to take some pics of them. I can take better detailed pics if you decide to have someone construct them for you.

The pads are Kioti options, my dealer is throwing them in as a part of the deal. I think they list for about $65.00 each. They haven't come in yet.

I post the photos full size at http://www.fotki.com which is a pay to play photo hosting site. It's low cost, and lets you link to as many web forums as you want. The linked photo is what ever size you want, being automatically sized from the original.

However, I can resize photo's with my own software, which I do if I want to email them directly to someone with a dial-up connection. I know a couple of people that still have those, but less and less with each passing day thank goodness. To alter photo sizes I use GraphicConverter from LemkeSoft in Germany, but it only runs on a Macintosh computer under MacOS. You can probably go to VersionTracker and find either freeware or shareware software to do the same thing on a PC under Windows.

I have been using this to resize net photos - it's free and fairly easy to use. Do a search and then download /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
