I bought this mower last summer and it ran consistently well until late summer, when we went through a 2 month dry spell and it didn't get run. Due to the season I was running straight 87 octane (10% etha-crap) with no stabilizer and when I brought it back up in late Sept it would start a bit harder and at full throttle it would miss regularly sputter sometimes. I finished the season shortly after on non-eth gas with Sta-bil.
I replaced the plugs and fuel filter over winter, changed oil and filter, and took apart the carbs and found no deposits. In the garage it seemed to be running better but now that I get it out and work it the missing and occasional sputter are still there. It almost stalled at one point.
This is the carb'd version of this motor. There are 270hrs on the mower/motor (I bought it at 230hrs).
Any suggestions where to start? I'm pretty mechanical but I don't have experience with small engines or commercial mowers.
Thanks,
David
