When I bought my 2005 KAMA 354X (Engine Model JDTY3951T-S, Engine #04-H0407300) the dealer included extra oil and gas filters that he had labeled with the "Wix" filter equivalent numbers. He mislabeled these filters so when I recently went to AutoZone for Wix filters the numbers he gave me did not match. He has since gone out of business. Does anyone have the correct crossover numbers for these filters? I don't care if it is a Wix, Fram, STP or any other locally available filter.

I have the Y485 engine in mine, so can't help with the specific WIX numbers - sorry. But you should really make sure he didn't actually sell you equivalent filters. I've never been in an Autozone that sold the WIX brand. Lots of other brands, but not WIX. So if you gave the fella WIX numbers, he may have simply crossed them over to equivalent filters from another manufacturer.

Go to the WIX filters, WIX oil filters, WIX air filters, WIX fuel filters, WIX Heavy Duty Oil Filters and use their crossover search. Enter the AutoZone filter numbers into the "Filter Lookup Quick Search" box. The list that's produced should enable you to cross those numbers back - and maybe see if they match any WIX numbers that may look like your originals. That list will also link to individual filter specs and applications that may help you determine if the AutoZone filters will work after all.

My local AutoZone (Southern Indiana) had the correct Wix oil filter that corresponded with the numbers that my dealer had marked on the extra Cinese oil filter that came with my tractor.
However, the numbers the KAMA dealer marked on the Chinese fuel filter showed up on AutoZone's computer as being for an air filter or a starter.
I would really like to replace the crappy Chinese filters with name brand filters, but I dont have the correct numbers.

I agree. So let's back up a couple of steps then. What WIX numbers DID your KAMA dealer write on them? I'll see if I can help from there.

I have a Kama TS354C and here is an info post I did a while back, maybe you can use a couple of the filters...

Kama TS354C Filters

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went by Advance Auto(Parts America) to by some oil and a replacement hose for a dry rotted Chinese power steering return line (5/8" fit perfectly). I had a list of filters I was going to buy at NAPA on the way home and I asked them if they could cross reference the NAPA brands with FRAM or Purolator and sure enough they could, it saved me a few bucks of what NAPA charges, especially the air filter!

Oil Filter - NAPA= 1516 ($6) Purolator= PL20195 ($6)
Fuel Filter - NAPA= 3195 ($11) Purolator= F50284 ($10)
Air Filter - NAPA= 2276 ($24) Purolator= A42019 ($5)

I hope this helps.

OK. Either you're 100% correct about the KAMA dealer being out to lunch, or you've made some typographical errors.
The WIX 42316 is an air filter, not an oil filter.
The WIX 51184 is a cannister type oil filter, not a fuel filter.
FWIW, WIX filters starting with 3 are fuel, with 4 are air, with 5 are oil.

I thought the TY395 used spin-on type oil/fuel filters (?) If true, can you determine if the spin-on threads are metric or SAE?

Hey, I just noticed you are right across the river from Louisville. I've got a 354c with the Y485. Great engine, lots of power, extremely cold natured.

Going by size, the filter marked "Wix 42316" is larger than the filter marked "WIX 51184". The larger filter is definitely the oil filter and is a canister filter rather than a screw-on filter. I wish I did have a screw on filter, but I have to deal with what I have.
I guess I will have to find a KAMA dealer to try to find the correct filters for my tractor.
Thaks for your input.

Hi Dwayne
What do you mean by "extremely cold natured"?
