I see there is a new 35hp model with an EPA approved engine.

We have them in stock, this model uses the TY395 engine. the factory has done a complete update to the new EPA spec, it uses EGR and has a throttle position sensor. It appears the injector pump is the same. The engine starts quickly but takes a few seconds before it will really accept throttle. NO SMOKE at all, even when opening the throttle suddenly. I think we will see a lot of this engine. TPEM for 25HPand up expires Dec 31st.
Also KAMA is offering EPA engines in TS254C and I am told the 4 cylinder in the TS354C has passed EPA certification.
If you want a KM554 you better order soon. it may be a while before that model returns with a certified engine. We really hate to loose thie model it has been a very solid performer, both in sales and in performance. We will have limited quantities arriving over the rest of this year, but not after Jan 1.
