Our tractor has been sitting for awhile and after starting it ...if I try forward or reverse it dies.
Starts fine ,idles fine but try to move it dies

I googled this and thats how I found your site.....so from what I've read theres a good chance the problem is in the seat switch

Yes, seat switch would be my first suspect. You can take it apart and bypass to confirm. Good luck!

It MAY be the seat switch, or it may be the seat pivot. Sometime the pivot rod under the seat comes loose on one end making the seat switch especially sensitive. It should be held in place with a cotter pin. I'd start there.

On mine, I pulled the plug from seat and shorted the two wires together in order to confirm that seat switch was the issue. Once confirmed, I resolved the actual issue.

It was the seat switch
As you probably noticed my spelling sucks ( kabuto)
But thanks for the help
