Kabota fuel pumps will not work

I have a kubota t1600 lawn tractor approx. 20 years old. the original fuel pump has quit working and I have replaced it twice with kabota fuel pumps and neither has lasted over 3 months. I then went to a auto part store and bought a Mr. Gasket fuel pump and it hasn't worked correctly either. the tank has been cleaned out. Does anyone know what the problem might be or how to fix the problem. This is an electric fuel pump. Thanks, Michael

Check the vent in your fuel cap. Ethanol is also bad for small engine fuel systems, we had a forklift that went through a fuel pump every 6 months, till the opperator changed from ethanol, to regular fuel.
