Does anyone have any experience changing the clutch cable on a JX 60? The clutch end of the cable is sandwiched between the case and fuel cell with little to no room to maneuver. Shop manual doesn't seem to address this issue. I considered cutting an access hole in the floor, but not sure the boss would appreciate having his tractor cut on.

Not easy at all, but I have found that on the NH version, you need to first drop the fuel tank. The other thing that makes it possible is to remove the cable pin at the clutch and unscrew the nut that at the cab access. Then, remove the front cab/platform mounts and raise the platform up with a jack to allow room to get your hand in to the clutch arm. Not much else you can do other than cut a hole in the floor, but this is a workaround.

Ugghhhh a JX. Poor guy. The fuel tank slides out easier than you'd expect so that's the route that id recommend.
