Kubota BX24
Hey, new member here. My name is Cory, from SLC, Utah. I purchased a BX24 earlier this year, as I had need of new landscape at my house and also have 6+ acres of cabin property about 90 miles southeast of home. The wife gave me the go ahead, so the fun began.

The front yard actually begun back in 2004, before I had my tractor, so my brother helped out with his JD. My wife and I decided to theme the yard after Moab, Utah, our favorite place to vacation. Alot of red sandstone was in order. We wanted to terrace the yard, and use boulders to build a retaining wall. Afew pics...

After setting the wall (mostly by hand), we moved the flagpole rock into position. The JD couldn't pick it up, so we just slid it down the sidewalk and into place. A concrete cutting company came out and drilled the core for me, and the 20' pole sits in it perfectly.

We wanted a little grass, but not so much that it would take more than 30 minutes a week to care for (we like to play at the cabin on the weekends).;)

The grass ended up being 10' X 40', right at one pallet. Next up was the flagstone patio- guillotine cut sandstone borders, with large slabs in the center.

A couple pics of the patio closer to completion- we are going to have some sort of greenery between the rocks, just can't decide what we want.

And that bring us to 2008, and the new toy:D Time to start thinking about what we want for the back yard. We decided to terrace the back like the front, with a matching retaining wall. We will have a large patio down below with the hot tub, bar, BBQ, and fire pit for entertaining. So I started digging, busting it up with the backhoe, and trucking it out with the loader. I'm running out of places to put dirt;) I think I'll put an ad on the Craiglist for free fill dirt. Here are a few pics of my current situation, and will post more as progress allows...
