Just sold my trusty 1996 JD870

I just sole the old 870, and the wife is NOT happy to see it go. She loved that old tractor.

It built our entire property over the last 14 years. I'm going to hate to see it go also.

Like a trusty old friend. Always did what i asked of it.

I only got a new tractor because i needed more horsepower to run a loader mounted blower, and wanted a cab.

Kind of sad really.

Yep, a sad day, for sure. But, from the looks of it, whoever bought it got a heck of a deal on a nice tractor.

I can understand how you feel, I thought about selling my older 820 when I bought the new 4520 but decided to keep it.

Not really..I'd have bought it even with the manure...you were just too far away.
Last 870 I looked at was when I still had my 790. HP was about the same, but the 870 has a stouter frame and I liked the 3 range transmission. However, it was sold by the time I got home and made the inquiry phone call.

i have the new Kioti, but the snow blade and the front loader mount snowblower are being ordered now, will be weeks out of getting them...4-6 weeks i think. no need to worry about snow right now. I'm also considering getting a set of skid steer forks....
