It came with very little information as to the function of all the levers, knobs, and dials that are contained in the cab area and thanks to Hoyt tractor for pointing me to Ernie in Oregon for specific info on it. Ernie spent a while on the phone with me going over all the special features of my new FX335D and was a HUGE help to me. He certainly knows his stuff on these newer FX models! THANKS ERNIE!! BTW, I LOVE my new tractor. It's a big step up from my YM186...
So today, I'm driving to the country seat to pay the tax man, and I pass a red FEL sitting on a lawn with a for sale sign on it. I stopped to look, and a gentleman came outside and talked to me about it. It was originally on a JD tractor of about 30hp, and is in pretty good shape. It looks like it may fit my 335, but I know nothing about FEL's and how they are supposed to mount up - I don't know if there are model specific brackets that mount to the bosses on the tractor frame, or if they are all somewhat standard...the space between the loader 'arms' where they attach to the mounting brackets is 23", or about 1" wider than what I measured my tractor width to be. Can anyone give me any info on what I need to be looking at if I were to purchase this item? It comes with all the hardware, hoses, controls etc. needed to run it. All I'd have to do is plumb auxiliary hydraulic ports onto the tractor and get the FEL to bolt up to use it. That seems a little daunting right now, as it is something I have not tackled up to this point, but I'm sure with a little direction, I could accomplish it with little difficulty. I
Do any of you have any ideas of what it takes to make a FEL 'fit' a tractor? The one I'm looking at is reasonably priced at $500 and would like to get it if it will work for me, since a new Koyker 155 or other similar brand is out of my financial realm right now...
