Just bought my first tractor!

Wife and I just sold our house in the city and bought an acre lot with trailer in the country next to our kids, so we have 2 acres of land to maintain. Tried doing it by hand but my old joints won't take it so I started looking for a tractor. Found an 06 New Holland TC30 in the local classifieds. Owner is moving in 4 days and had no bites on tractor. After looking at the tractor and a couple phone calls purchased the tractor with front loader, 5 ft Land Pride finish mower , and an unused CountryLine post hole auger for $9000. Tractor has 448 hrs and looks like it spent it's whole life outside. Got it home and found water in the hydraulic oil! Ugh! After a trip to NAPA, changing every filter, all fluids, and fan belt, she is running great! looking forward to putting her to work! Wife is still skeptical, thinks it's a glorified lawnmower, but she will come around once she learns how to drive it!

To the forum From Alabama. That tractor looks fine to do all the jobs there. How long had it sat before you bought it?

Not sure , owner had a stroke and didn't get out much. Tractor cranked right up when I went to look at it. Has been outside all it's life I suspect .

Staying outside normally only affects how it looks not how it runs. If it started right up, then it must not have sat around too long.

Sound like you got a good deal with the attachments. Tell your wife "It aint no lawn mower"!

Good luck with your new venture, Roman. Looks like you got a fair deal. Maybe that water in the hydraulics was condensation from sitting outside with wide temperature changes. All should be okay for you now.

Great tractor I have a New Holland boomer 40 they are great. When you get use to having a tractor it's hard to do whit out one. Good luck whit your new tractor
