Hello, I'm new to this forum!. My father bought a 2009 Kubota BX2360 about 6 months ago and I am getting it ready for spring. The front axle seals are leaking so I'm going to replace those and change the usual fluids and such. I noticed a green wire was disconnected on the side of the mower and there's only one terminal near by but I was curious what the wire did and could it being unplugged have hurt anything. Then there is also a wire that got melted up by the muffler. I'm not sure if it had came undone and touched the hot muffler or if the muffler got so hot it melted the wire while still connected. Curious if anyone else has had this. The exhaust is really rusty so I think Im going to media blast it and try to find some high temp paint. The wet around the wire and bolts is Kroil oil
I am new to tractors but I'm a machinist and pretty mechanically inclined. I've worked on diesel trucks and crappy box store mowers, and it looks like Kubota thought about the design before they made these tractors. So far it seems very easy to work on.
Anyways, I'm just looking to make her pretty again and last for years to come.
Thanks, Derek
