Just traded in my Kubota 2320 for a new LS XG3140 (geared) with loader and filled tires and it gets delivered on Tuesday. Easiest transaction of this type I ever did. I don't see much posted about these tractors on the Interwebs but will post my impressions and some pictures when I get it. I have a small 21 acre farm with a few cows and some sheep and will use it as a utility tractor around the place.

I appreciate all of the posts from others on TBN and I looked at virtually every make out there prior to purchasing the LS.

Welcome and I am a new owner of a smaller ls, 3025. I look forward to learning and sharing with everyone here.

I will post some pictures soon but here are my first impressions. The engine is very smooth compared to the Kubota and I thought I would not like having to run it at 1800-2200 RPM for DPF reasons but it isnt an issue and it seems to like it there. The synchro geared transmission is very smooth and I like the shuttle shift; it has 12 forward and 12 reverse gears because of the three range selections but I doubt I would ever use the high range. I do find myself using the complete low and medium range selection of gears though. The loader is a little jerky and not as smooth in the raise and curl function but the added lift capacity has already been useful for me. The draft control for the three point is every bit as useful as my IH 424 but the plastic stops are cheap feeling and I figure they will get replaced at some point. I am a big guy and though the tractor fits me fine it just fits me and I think it would be cramped for a 6 footer or someone wider of girth....obviously designed to a Korean physiology. The loader lifts so high that it is easy to dump on your hood; especially with the tractor at higher RPM and the loader control valve so jerky (I already did it with hay). I do not typically lift things that high but I will have to remember to be more careful because even hay can be heavy and cause damage. Two minor things I was surprised about; there is no tool box of any kind and there is no cup holder; the former I will be taking care of quickly but I have not figured out where to put a cup holder. Sounds minor except I will be using this open station machine on my farm in the summer and carrying water is a necessity. So overall I like it, I have a very good dealer close by which makes a difference to me, and it is exponentially more capable than my little Kubota was and it gives me some breathing room as I repair my 424. Next up will be the purchase of pallet forks to add to my implement inventory. Edited to add: One more thing, The slow vehicle sign is offset to the left side of the tractor and interferes with your rear vision if you look over your left side but it easily slides out of its holder and I do not use it unless I plan on going down the road.

Great info! From my short test drive I think that motor is smooth as well. Purrs like a kitten. I also like the shuttle.

I removed the slow vehicle sign and used the existing bracket to mount the toolbox. A metal ammo box painted to match the LS color worked well.

A small section of PVC capped at one end & a drainage hole drilled, zip tied to ROPS would make a great bottle holder.

My smaller machine does have a cup holder, but over rough terrain it's pretty easy to bounce out a half empty (half full for you optimists) water bottle and not notice it's gone.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I never thought of using the mounting holes for the slow veh sign for the tool box but will have to check it out. I'm also looking at attaching a bottle holder to the ROPs using either u-bolts or zip ties though the right fender has the mounting holes for an "oh ****" handle plugged with rubber plugs and I am thinking about maybe doing something there. Not really sure why that handle was not included in the basic tractor, kind of a strange way to save about $7.00.

I will also be adding some expanded wire mesh to the grill guard, tie down D-rings to the frame and a rear work light.
