Just purchased this Nimco valve from Surplus center, to add top and tilt to my JD 4120 using power beyond.

I have a problem, I think? The cables sent that connect valve to joystick dont appear to be the right ones. Everything looks right, excpet for the plastic ball on the end that connects to the Joystick will not fit into the place that holds it. It is a little too large to slide into the slot that it is supposed to fit in.

So, either I have wrong cable
I have to force it, which doesnt seem right
or the plastic is just a cover over steel ball, which has to be removed.

Number stamped on cable is 4K 5049 5060 Nimco Controls, any ideas?

Did you try both balls in both holes. One ball looks larger than the other for a reason.

Joystick base has 1 fixed ball, the steel one, and two cables each with white plastic balls on them. In picture I only had one cable stuck in.

The steel ball fits, neither plastic one will, in any of the three holes.
