Check out verizon and sprint for an offering called EVDO. I am using verizons EVDO service called "broadband wireless". This offering, along with a booster antenna gives me internet connectivity at burst speeds of 611kbs today. I am connecting via a wireless card in a laptop. Price is 59.99 for a limited time. Areas of coverage vary, so check Verizon BroadBandAccess
There is a coverage map for details on which signal type you may be able to aquire.
This worked for me, as satellite would not allow security connections to work in a timely manner.
