That ought to work.
Just make sure you know how many gallons per acre you are putting out. Mavrick is expensive, you don't want to over or you will be wasting some $.
Don't under apply because you will not be pleased with the results.
Make sure you use surfactant, and use it at the middle of the road amount per the lable or the high rate per the label. This goes a long way towards making the spay work. Want even better results, apply your spray at a higher gallons per acre, (with the proper amount of active ingredient per acre). More water per acre helps get a better coverage, in turf I apply up to 200 gallons per acre, that gets a little old, but it works great and no burn.
Pastures I have been going at 40 gallons per acre, allot more refills, but I have been happy with the results.
You can use just water or you can add some liquid, or soulable fertilizer to go with it.
