Tractor
Toro Wheelhorse 520H
Just purchased a John Deer X530, hasn't even been delivered yet, and I would like to know if there are any annoyances that can crop up while owning this tractor. I am talking about inherent problems like I had with my Toro Wheel Horse 520H. Such as: the frame cracking from the use of the two stage snow blower and the 60 inch deck, or corrosion in the 12 wire electrical connector, or loosening a transmission oil filter to prevent air lock while refilling the transmission. Even ruined two batteries before I realized it came with a bad voltage regulator. Instead of learning these things over the years, like I did on the 520H, I'd like to get a head of the game. Thanks

It,s to late. You already bought it. LOL It will be a great little unit. No use worrying about problems that might crop up.
Every unit is built just a little bit different. I bet yours will be one of the good ones. Hope you have many years of trouble free time with it.

Great tractor so far. Didn't take much time getting used to the reverse switch. What took a little time was getting used to going from reverse pedal to forward pedal. If you accidently push the reverse pedal again after reversing, the mower will shut off. The two pedals are close together. When they delivered it I thought they said they had done a complete setup. But after cutting grass for two hours I decided to check the deck setup. It was way off, though you can't tell from the nice job of cutting it did. For a guy like me, getting long in the tooth and with two artificial shoulders and two artificial knees, setting up the deck was a bit of a challenge. the power steering is great and I was really happy with the turning radius. I put it through its paces by cutting some grass over a foot high. It did a fair job with the deck raised (4 inches) and then it did a great job when I went over it at 2 1/2 inches. Its fast and you have to adjust your speed to a comfort level. Too fast over rough ground and it's like riding a bronco. The all-terrain tires give you plenty of traction. Holding the forward foot control can get a little tiresome but you have the cruise control option. Looks like I'm gonna like this one
