John Deere x500
Hi everyone,

I am new to this site but have enjoyed looking at all the various comments regarding lawn and garden tractors. I recently purchased a used x500 John Deere tractor and am thinking about a front blade and angling kit. I found one online which is 44 inches off a x300 John Deere. The seller believes it will fit my tractor, but after talking to a John Deere dealer he claims it will not fit. My tractor's serial number is 1MOX500AVCM072053. I believe it was built in the 2008-2014 time frame, but I am not sure of its year.

So looking for input as to what year you think it is and if a 44 inch blade and angling kit off a John Deere x300 will fit my tractor. It is a good price compared to what the dealer wants for a 48 inch blade and angling kit.

Thank you...

Think you mean "Direct Fit". almost anything can be made to fit if you are mechanically inclined. I made a Murray snow plow fit my X300.

Do you have a relative or friend or neighbor that can help? As far as direct fit or easy mod - I'll let the more knowledgeable answer.
Think the Deere blade does not have a trip spring to take the shock of hitting something (for snow). You might check for other brands like Johnny Products. Johnny Bucket Jr. John Deere GTLX

Is it for snow plowing or dirt?

i am betting it would fit up, as the front 44 blowers fit both tractors, but the 48 blade on the x500
is quite a bit heavier built than what that 44 blade from the x3 is... so i'm not sure how
well it would hold up with the additional weight and traction of the x500 series (which also incl diff lock)

I had to replace a mounting bracket to get my snowblower from an older JD garden tractor to fit the new JD tractor and it was quite expensive.

I would not buy it unless I am very sure the mounting bracket fit and also the lift mechanism works even if I had to trailer the tractor over there.
