John Deere X300 main drive belt replacement

Can someone tell me the best way to change the main drive belt on this tractor? I don't see how to take it off of the trans. and engine without having to disassemble the tractor. Any UTube help or whatever would be greatly appreciate. The idler pulley in the back of the tractor fried. Thankyou.

I just replaced the main drive belt on a GT235. Of course can't be sure but I'd guess it is similar to the x300. I had to remove one of the pulleys just to get the 'keeper' tab out of the way, then move the tension spring by putting a socket on another of the pulleys and twisting to relieve belt tension, then slip belt out of the tension pulley (it just fit without removing the 'keeper' on this one), then removing belt from rear transaxle drive pulley, then I worked the belt out forward until I had to remove the left side steering connector rod-to-spindle to slide belt out.

If you have a fender deck that's removable with a few bolts (four on mine, but I don't own a 300), I would do it that way. Once the fender deck is off, the gas tank just lifts out. Then you have clear access to everything. And, you don't have to stand on your head to change the drive belt.
