Hi all,
I have an old John Deere TWA disk harrow which I am trying to restore. The leveling screw was broken and I had to remove it. Inside the drawbar is the nut part of the trunnion, but its threads are destroyed. The previous owner had welded a nut to the top of the drawbar to hold the screw up, but this arrangement obviously does not work as the welded nut cannot pivot as the screw moves the drawbar up or down. This may have contributed to the leveling screw breaking. I have part diagrams of the TWA plow, but it does not show the part. Can anyone help me figure out how to remove this bolt from inside the trunnion so I can have a new one fabricated? Thank you. If anyone would like me to post some photos, I can.
