Tractor
John Deere 5205
I have a John Deere 5205 . Over time , the plastic part of the seat has come loose and has now popped off of the metal backing which secures the seat to the tractor. It looks like it was originally glued on around the edges . I have no idea what kind of glue was used or how to go about fixing it. I priced a new one , which goes for over $300.00 . Can anyone suggest how to repair it or is there a cheaper one out there?

ya man I bought a new L3540 bin 2007 and I did not like the seat when I was in it for a while blowing snow so my buddy had an old jeep high back seat so I cut of the stuff I did not need and welded some brackets to make it tilt for the tool box and man what a difference and no charge

Go to the hardware store and get some "lock tight polyurethane construction adhesive". In comes in a calk gun tube. Get the 8x strength. Will hold it better than the factory glue that was holding it together. I use this stuff all the time on foams and vinyls and plastics. Great stuff.
