I've been reading threads like this in all the John Deere forums since 2009 and it seems to be the same stuff over and over. Thus my purchase of another brand. Hopefully Deere reads these forums and realizes how many potential customers they have been loosing.
They're like the Ford Powerstroke of compact tractors. For every ten you get two good ones.
Lol, I can't compare my ford powerstroke to my deere. The truck has been used harder, is 3 years older and has had less problems, only had to replace ball joints at 140,000 so far! Maybe its a lemon.
Is the cost of buying new just for a warranty higher than fixing something? I have family that farms and they buy used. Most farmers I buy hay from have old equipment or will have old equipment 5 years after buying new. Another farmer buys 1-2 year old JD equipment from mega farmers out west.
