The use of tractors in China is a huge market, and shipping tractors there is not as easy as building them in China for that China market.

Yeah, he should spend his time improving his sales pitch.

Especially since none of that equipment will be used anywhere other than the far east. He should do his homework to find that china charges horribly large sums to bring in equipment (or boats or whatever) that were not produced in china. makes sense if you want to sell in that market to buy out or open up a manufacturing facility...

no one is putting any one down. Just read that in a newspaper. JD makes good equipment no argument there. But NH makes just as good or better and in our area anyway, the Green guys are falling further and further behind us. I am not here to argue who is better or blah, blah blah, i was just relaying something i read so in my opinion you have nothing better to do than try to start something.

I didn't take the post to be a put down of John Deere. I believe China will some day surpass the US in many areas and it just seems to make good business since to go there.

I try not to buy Chines stuff because of their government, but it's really unavoidable or almost so any more.

In my area John Deere is preeminent followed by Case with everyone else trailing pretty far behind, but it is an agricultural market primarily.

Yah, we should charge horribly large sums to them for bringing their low quality stuff here. Fair trade has gone out the window as far as they are concerned. Manipulating their currency on the world markets to keep their stuff cheap.
